Rebel Messiah is the
creative musical teaming of Cheryl Ballard, Wade Lifton &
Brendan Wanderer.
Our
Mission is about
transforming the way we worship in our churches and our lives.
We
strive to create experiences that are inclusive, dynamic and meaningful
for everyone present.
Cheryl
Ballard
has rhythm in her veins and music in her
heart.
It seems like th
ere is no song
that Cheryl can't handle.
In-between
assisting with a plethora of youth ministries, leading a children's
choir and
playing drums for countless worship services, Cheryl is hard at work
studying
at University. She is studying percussion at UBC and currently lives in Vancouver.
Wade
Lifton
has two cats, three pairs of slippers, and ten fingers, which he brings
to the Rebel Messiah keyboards (just the fingers, not the cats or slippers).
He enjoys spending quality time with people, preparing and eating yummy
food, playing, worshiping, walking in forests and expressing creativity through
music, drama, movement and writing. In his spare time he is the Children
and Youth Minister at Mount Seymour United Church in North Vancouver and
co-founder of theWATERproject.ca, an initiative building ra
inwater harvesting
tanks with villages in Ghana.
Brendan Wanderer prefers to keep busy... very busy. Generally as busy as possible. He's the United Church Youth Minister for all of the North Shore and leads the WayAware Ministry. And the Youth Minister at Highlands United Church. And a musician. And an aspiring filmmaker. And a hopeless romantic. He's a little like the Energizer Bunny. When it comes to sleep, he gets what he needs, and then keeps going (and it seems he leads youth groups and worship services wherever he goes!) Brendan is the song-craftsman and visionary behind the music of Rebel Messiah and he is living happily with his housemate Evi in Vancouver.
